Mark Twain once quipped, “the truth is stranger than fiction . . .,” and that a lie “. . . will travel half way around the world, while the truth is still getting her boots on.” This story proves both of these claims to be true.

The Fake News Media is in an all-out frenzy to gin up something to blunt President Trump’s popularity and effectiveness. On March 31, 2025, The Atlantic ran a story claiming a “Maryland Father” with “protected status” was wrongfully sent to an El Salvadoran prison by the Trump Administration. In truth, the man is an illegal alien and was found by an immigration judge to have been a member of MS-13, a notoriously violent gang recently designated a foreign terrorist organization by the United States. The man should have been removed from the USA in 2019. His “protected status” was he was not supposed to be returned to El Salvador due to the potential for other gangs to harm him, so the USA should have sent him to another country. Here is the story.
