Learn about Trump's "Winningest" Week Yet
When President Trump and his Administration win, America wins
Last week, President Trump and his Administration scored some of the biggest wins of either of his Presidencies. Trump notched big wins in court, on foreign policy, on peace and the economy over the last week. If Donald J. Trump were a Democrat, the media would pound the airwaves relentlessly with news of these triumphs, but since President Trump is Republican and believes in America First, the press reports are much more subdued. The following outline will keep you informed of Trump’s accomplishments.
Big Wins in Court - The Nationwide Injunction Case
The Trump Administration scored a massive win in the United States Supreme Court in Trump v. Casa. The Supreme Court struck a massive blow against law fare by finding nationwide or universal injunctions are likely NOT available to federal judges under the Judiciary Act of 1789. (A nationwide injunction happens when a federal district court orders the entire federal government to stop enforcing a law, rule or regulation. I previously wrote about nationwide injunctions and other abuses if you need more reading on the topic. Leftist federal district judges abused the nationwide injunction endlessly against the Trump Administration.) The High Court wrote:
The issue was before the Court on the Trump Administration’s request for stays of several different nationwide injunctions in the birthright citizenship cases. (I also wrote about birthright citizenship for those who need more background on that.) The lower courts ruled against President Trump’s Executive Order challenging birthright citizenship and granted nationwide injunctions stopping the EO from being enforced. The Trump Administration requested “stays” of these nationwide injunctions. The requests for “stays” were denied by lower courts, but granted by the Supreme Court in Trump v. Casa. The “stay” granted by SCOTUS means the lower court rulings are only enforceable as to the parties actually before the court, while the EO can be enforced against those NOT before the court.
The end result: this is a massive win for President Trump and the Trump Administration and not just for this case, but in an entire host of cases.
This case does not end nationwide injunctions altogether, since (1) the ruling was made on a request for a “stay” which consists of a forward-looking assessment that one party, here the Trump Administration, probably will win on the merits, but is not actually the resolution of the case on the merits and (2) there are other grounds for such injunctions to be issued - class action relief, for instance - to which leftist judges will immediately pivot. But, the win is still “yuge” and long overdue.
The Institute of Peace Case
The Trump Administration won another stay, this one from the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeal, in a case involving the United States Institute of Peace. The Board of the Institute of Peace includes 12 members appointed by the President and confirmed by the U.S. Senate. Under 22 U.S.C. §4605(f), the board members may only be removed for specified reasons (felony conviction, malfeasance, etc…).
President Trump issued an Executive Order on February 19, 2025, calling for the U.S. Institute of Peace (among other agencies) to be “. . . eliminated to the maximum extent consistent with applicable law.” (This was part of the Department of Government Efficiency cost-cutting, streamlining of the federal government.)
On March 14, 2025, President Trump terminated the appointed board members without regard to the statutory criteria listed in 22 U.S.C. §4605(f). Five of the board members challenged their terminations in federal court and won an injunction and reinstatement to their positions.
On June 27, 2025, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit granted the Trump Administration’s request for an emergency stay of the lower court’s order. The court found:
The court found the other factors favored granting the stay. This means the Institute of Peace Board members remain FIRED pending the resolution of the case on the merits. Another BIG win for President Trump.
The Ceasefire Between Israel and Iran
On June 13, 2025, Israel initiated airstrikes on targets throughout Iran directed at devastating the Iranian nuclear program. Iran retaliated by firing ballistic missiles at targets in Israel. On June 21, 2025, the United States struck three Iranian nuclear facilities with bunker busting bombs or cruise missiles in Operation Midnight Hammer, reportedly devastating the facilities.
Within days of the U.S. airstrikes on Iran, President Trump brokered a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, temporarily at least, halting the conflict. As the AP reported:
While media and Democrat politicians in Washington, D.C., caterwauled about the impending World War III with Iran, Trump secured a peace deal.
Days later, Democrat Senators proposed a resolution to limit President Trump’s ability to strike Iran in the future. The Senate voted down the resolution on June 27, 2025. Trump just keeps on winning.
Trump Administration Brokers Peace Deal Between Rwanda and Congo
For decades, conflict between the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Rwanda, two nations in central Africa, raged off and on. Most recently, the two countries have been at war since 2022. Background on the conflict may be found here.
On Friday, June 27, 2025, the foreign ministers of both the DRC and Rwanda signed a peace agreement in Washington, D.C., at a ceremony with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and President Trump. As Reuters reported:
At the signing ceremony, President Trump said:
The agreement aims to promote foreign investment and mineral production in the two countries, with the United States slated to obtain mineral rights from the Congo in future agreements.
Chalk up another major win for President Trump.
NATO Countries Agree to Raise Defense Spending
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is the key US-European military alliance formed in 1949. The United States has long funded the organization in significant part. In his first term, President Trump strongly criticized the “oversized” funding of NATO by the United States and challenged NATO member nations to meet their defense funding obligations (which stood at 2% of Gross Domestic Product at that time). President Trump’s efforts in his first term resulted in member nations paying more of what they were supposed to pay.
This time, President Trump upped the demand considerably and sought to have the NATO member nations increase their defense spending from 2% to 5% of their Gross Domestic Product. At a “historic” NATO summit in The Hague on June 25, 2025, the NATO member nations agreed to to do just that by 2035:
President Trump hailed the decision as a “monumental victory” for the United States and its Allies in a statement released on June 26, 2025. Many in even non-Trump friendly media agree:
(I dedicated an entire chapter of Volume Two of the Fake News Exposed about Trump series to President Trump’s efforts to improve NATO in his first term. You can get a copy of the book here. The chapter contains good background on NATO, information about NATO funding and references to media reports about Trump’s efforts to improve funding by NATO member nations to reduce NATO’s reliance on American funding. The funding level then was 2% of GDP and most NATO members failed to meet it. Getting NATO members to more than double that threshold of defense spending is an incredible accomplishment by President Trump.)
The Markets Hits New Record Highs
Personally, I do not put too much “stock” (I know, I could not help myself) in the endless ups and downs of the stock markets, but a lot of people do. Remember just a couple of months ago when media and economic “experts” claimed Trump’s tariffs were going to kill the stock market? For example, on March 6, 2025, Reuters reported:
On March 4, 2025, BBC reported:
Reports like these abounded with every conceivable Fake News Media outlet imaginable chiming with the same or a similar narrative.
At the time, I told everyone who would listen to just wait a little while to give President Trump’s economic policies (including tariffs) the chance to work. And what happened? Massive amounts of investment in the United States, including $200 billion by Micron, billions of dollars invested in U.S. Steel resulting in thousands of jobs, $500 billion invested by Apple in the next 4 years, NVIDIA to invest $500 billion in the next four years, just to name a handful of the new investments. Plus, 139,000 new private sector jobs created in May 2025 and the lowest inflation numbers since 2021.
And what happened to the markets? You guessed it. They are hitting record new highs. On Friday, June 27, 2025, CNN reported the U.S. stock market hit record new highs:
Trump wins again.
Conclusion
President Trump just keeps on winning. He promised his supporters they would “get tired of winning.” Maybe he is right about that too. And the wins outlined above are just a few of many. Last week, GE announced it is moving a washing machine manufacturing plant from China to Kentucky, the United States Department of Defense made good on President Trump’s plan to reinstate veterans dismissed for refusing the COVID vaccines and the United States Supreme Court granted the Trump Administration authority to remove certain illegal aliens to third countries.
Most importantly, when President Trump and the Trump Administration win, America wins. President Trump’s economic policies promote American manufacturing, private sector job growth and massive investment in America, all while keeping inflation in check. The foreign and immigration policy of the Trump Administration places American interests above all others. The end result is more winning for the American people. And President Trump is just getting started.
