From Gutting the Federal Death Tax to New Trade Deals to Reducing Taxes on Tips, President Trump Keeps on Making America Great Again
Conservative media are understandably consumed by the revelations surrounding the Clinton Campaign and Democrat Party’s Russia Collusion Hoax, and rightfully so. I wrote extensively about the Russia Collusion Hoax in Volumes 2 and 3 of the Fake News Exposed about Trump series. I find it gratifying to see more truth come out about that Clinton Campaign/DNC initiated propaganda campaign. At the same time, some of President Trump’s most impactful public policy, trade policy and legislative wins are being overlooked. This article will focus on more of President Trump’s economic and legislative wins.
Trump Strikes a Death Blow to the Death Tax
The Federal Estate Tax is, according to the U.S. Internal Revenue Service:
Estate taxes, along with inheritance taxes, are commonly known as death taxes. In short, a person works hard all of his or her life to earn a living, pay taxes and acquire assets but, when he or she dies, the federal government swoops in and taxes what the person leaves behind.
Federal law contains an exemption for estate taxes which, stated in simple terms, provides a specified amount of a person’s estate is exempt from the tax. In his first term, President Trump championed an INCREASE in the estate tax EXEMPTION from $5 million to $10 million dollars per person, with annual adjustments for inflation, however, the exemption was set to start going back down in 2025.
President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill increased the federal estate tax exemption to $15,000,000 per person and $30,000,000 per married couple, subject to an annual inflation adjustment:
The end result is the vast majority of Americans will not owe any federal estate taxes upon their death. Now, that is a “win” if ever there was one.
