The Media's Trump "Bloodbath" Hoax
Fake News Media claim Trump said there would be a violent "bloodbath" if he is not elected. They are lying. Again.
At a campaign rally in Ohio on Saturday, March 16, 2024, President Trump outlined how China is building massive automobile manufacturing plants in Mexico with the intention of selling the cars in the United States while avoiding any tariffs. Trump proclaimed he would put a 100% tariff on these Chinese auto imports if he is elected president this November. Trump claimed if he doesn’t get elected “it will be bloodbath for the Country,” referring to the effect of selling Chinese imports built in Mexico on the American automotive industry. Fake News Media just cannot tell the truth about it.
This particular Fake News hoax perfectly illustrates the misuse of headlines by Fake News Media. The media sensationalized the headlines in an effort to create the misconception President Trump threatened violence if he is not elected and then buried context, in some cases, in their stories. Meanwhile, President Biden and his campaign, along with their Democrat Party surrogates, spread outright lies about President Trump’s comments far and wide.
THE FAKE NEWS:
At a rally in Ohio, President Trump claimed there will be a “bloodbath in the Country” if he is not elected president in November 2024.
Who Pushed the Fake News?
The usual suspects in the legacy news media were up to their old tricks.
As always, The New York Times had to lead the charge with this headline on March 16, 2024:
The NYT really outdid itself with the vicious anti-Trump hyperbole in this particular story, claiming President Trump’s remarks were “vulgar,” “derogatory,” “de-humanizing,” and “dark.” The NYT even pitched the old LIE that “available data does not support the idea that migrants are spurring increases in crime.” (Many of my readers will know I refuted this propaganda in Chapter 7 of my most recent book, pick up a copy here). (And in his remarks, President Trump, once again referred to MS-13 gang members and killers being released from foreign prisons to flood this Country since the Biden Regime refuses to close our Southern border. Listen to his remarks about this starting at the 20:50 mark. Again, this is the continuation of yet other media lies about Trump’s remarks about violent illegal alien gang members and killers, where the media falsely equates those remarks as being about illegals generally. I dealt with this lie in Chapter Two of Volume Two of the Fake News Exposed about Trump series.)
CBS News sensationalized Trump’s comments with this headline:
The Guardian ran its version of the story with this headline:
Rolling Stone covered this story on March 16, 2024 with this headline:
Democrats, Fake News Media types and other leftists caterwauled over the comments on X:
(This photograph was shared on X by Viva Frei.)
As you see, the left ran with the narrative that Trump was threatening violence.
Of course, the pathological liars at the Biden campaign never miss an opportunity to lie about anything having to do with Trump. On March 16, 2024, the Biden-Harris campaign released a statement about Trump’s comments falsely claiming Trump “doubled down on his threats of political violence.” The Biden-Harris campaign made other truly derogatory, dishonest, duplicitous claims about Trump in the statement.
THE TRUTH:
At the rally in Ohio on March 16, 2024, President Trump said the Biden Regime’s policies would allow China to import the cars it is building at its massive plants in Mexico and the result would be a “bloodbath” for the American automotive industry and America in general.
Watch and listen to the speech yourself. The relevant comments start at the 34:00 mark and run to the 36:22 mark.
The Federalist ran a good article covering this Fake News Media propaganda campaign. The article includes a brief transcript of the most relevant comments made by President Trump:
Clearly, President Trump was not talking about violence. He was talking about what would happen to the American automotive industry if cheap Mexican-made Chinese cars are dumped on our market.
X owner and world’s richest man, Elon Musk, called out the media misinformation about the Trump “bloodbath” comments on X on March 17, 2024:
Prominent X account “End Wokeness” called out the media misinformation about the issue, calling it a “hoax.” Elon Musk commented on this post as well, again castigating the media:
A great article in RedState on March 17, 2024, highlighted the “bloodbath” misinformation campaign and the Fake News Media’s “Hoax-Making:”
Take a few minutes to read this article. The author does a fine job of breaking down and correcting the media’s lies and vicious smears of Trump.
No, President Trump was not even talking about violence with his “bloodbath” comments and he certainly was not calling for violence. Those are all Fake News Media, Democrat Party and leftist propaganda talking points and hyperbole.
What makes it worse, is Joseph Biden made similar use of the word "bloodbath" back during the 2020 Democrat primary, but there was no caterwauling or screeching from the media then was there?
Furthermore, a number of journalists and influencers on social media are sharing the Fake News Media’s use of “bloodbath” in similar context to the non-violent use by former President Trump to highlight the media’s misinformation and bias:
Reporter Byron York posted to his X account sharing several uses of “bloodbath” by The New York Times:
A social media influencer, Tom Elliot, shared a video link of media on X of everyone from CNN, to MSNBC, to Fox News using “bloodbath” over and over.
Hopefully, you get the point. President Trump WAS NOT CALLING FOR VIOLENCE and was not even talking about violence when he referred to a “bloodbath” for the automotive industry if China floods our market with cheap cars. The Fake News Media and Democrat politicians know this. They all use “bloodbath” the same way. They just don’t care about telling anyone the truth.
The Fake News Media is “all in” for Joseph Biden. This is just another example and, believe me, between now and Election Day in November, there will be plenty more Fake News Media propaganda campaigns just like this one.
